What if your family was given a chance to leave behined the worst of modern civilization - crime, pollution, violence, money worries, traffic, bosses - and live a simpler life on a pristine tropical island? This fall, four families will experience an exotic adventure in a radically different world and compete for the right to stay forever. In the end, which will the winning family choose to call home, their old world or the new?

The families will be dropped onto a remote island in Fiji where the way of life has remained unchanged for hundreds of years... No supermarkets, restaurants, hair salons or movie theaters. Instantly they will have to cope with a completely different climate, diet, customs, language barriers... and each other, as they share a tropical house on a acre of ocenfront property.

We will chronicle the changes these families undergo as they adapt to their new life. They will be taught the local ways by the inhabitants of the island - from how to put food on the table to how to navigate the jungle to how to obey th strict village protocols.

Through a series of competitions and adventures, the families will have to demostrate how well they've mastered the skills needed to live on this island, and how well they've learned to work together when they have nothing to depend on but each other.

Right now, UPN and the producer's who brought television audiences NBC's "SpyTV" and "Fear Factor" and CBS' "Big Brother" are looking for four families with teenage children willing to spend a month on a tropical island in the South Pacific, where they will compete for a beach front home worth a quarter of a million dollars!
